Phoenix Reiki

Today’s prompt is “what are three objects you couldn’t live without?”

I’m guessing this isn’t about food and water bottles and hobs or microwaves… which are literally objects I couldn’t stay alive without, but they are the most banal, uninteresting things. So then what?

The three objects I can’t live without as a healer at Phoenix Reiki are my reiki music CD, my favourite tarot deck (this changes periodically), and my crystals.

Music

The music I use for therapy is tuned to 528Hz frequency for promoting love, peace, and healing. It helps opening recipients up to meditation and healing, so it’s absolutely perfect for Reiki. It’s so soothing some people fall asleep during treatment. (Me. It’s me, I sometimes fall asleep when I’m self-healing, haha.) It helps the brain to relax and be in the now for the duration of the treatment, and lets the nervous system accept the healing energy from the practitioner.

Music is super important to me in my private life, too. It is something I will never compromise on ever again, and something that helped me weather some really tough periods in my life. My taste might be “unconventional” for a stereotypical healer, or even for a woman (ugh!), but it heals my soul. My favourite band’s music gives me a release I don’t get from meditation music – which I also love – and my favourite singer’s voice soothes my ears and caresses my soul. Even when he screams. Sometimes especially when he screams. It is what it is, and I am so happy to talk to others and listen to music that helps them through the day. Music can be lifesaving, so please, never comment negatively on anyone’s taste, be it Taylor Swift, or Marilyn Manson.

Tarot

My tarot cards are my little darlings. I have a moderate collection of about 50 decks. I work with about ten regularly. My favourites rotate periodically; right now I am in love with my Deviant Moon Tarot again, that I got back after more than a year. Because I realise it’s not everyone’s cuppa, I always have a selection of decks with me for my clients to choose from. I have cutesy decks, dark decks, traditional decks and futuristic decks. Whatever your taste, I should have something for you, just ask.

Crystals

Last but not least, my crystals. Enough said. They can be used with reiki, stored with my cards as wards, and used with magic spells. They are so versatile, and not the least, so beautiful, very few healers can resist them! I know I can’t!
